AI sales agents that may replace you (if you're average)

Cold calling is hard, but you don’t need to make it harder! That’s why I’ve put together some of the most effective cold call openers in a free cheat sheet. Grab it here.
Gone are the days when we needed dozens of people to do simple tasks. Taking inbound calls, creating spreadsheets, sending emails, and doing research are all areas where AI is taking over.
Do I think AI bots will replace humans completely? No. However, what once took ten people weeks, now only takes one person minutes. The power of some of these tools is mind-blowing and if you don’t learn to adapt, you will be left behind.
You’ve likely heard this before, so I’m not going to beat a dead horse. I was at a sales conference recently and saw how quickly AI technology is advancing and being utilized by big companies.
There are tons of siloed AI tools out there like Twain.ai, Gamma, and Guidde. Many companies are starting to integrate some of these capabilities right into their solutions.
So what does all this mean? If you do not leverage AI tools you will get left behind. We are in the information age, and it’s important to learn to leverage the tools that can save you money and time.
The xDR role continues to be an interesting one in tech sales. Some companies find great value in the role and others think that full-cycle sellers are best.
Outbound sales is the hardest job in sales in my opinion. This is what an xDR does. The role involves spending all days doing various outbound cold prospecting to book meetings to pass to their Account Executives.
This usually looks like calls, emails, follow-ups, and research. Building a pipeline and engaging that pipeline all day. What happens when AI starts to do all these tasks well enough? This is a concern.
How do you solve it?
Build your skills, and learn to do the human piece with excellence while leveraging AI.
What AI can’t do well is have genuine conversations. It cannot empathize and do deep discovery. It is not human, and most humans can tell. Humans are built for connection, and this is why AI has its limits.
Learn the skills beyond just prospecting and booking meetings.
Here are some popular AI sales agents that may replace you if you are average, and don’t work on your skills.

No AI tool is perfect. They still require some human touch. However, AI is here and innovation is happening all around.
AI will replace many entry-level and low-skill tasks and jobs. It has become too pervasive and popular in our economy to ignore.
Humans are important and you are invaluable. You are limitless if you put your mind to it.
Learn new skills, improve them, and adapt.
